SERVICES & AMENITIES

Wildflowers
Landscape

Ever wondered what your Parish Council is here to do?  We are responsible for:

Play Area

The play area is located on School Road and is currently being refurbished. We ask that children play football on the nearby playing field, rather than at the play area.

Village Green

The Parish Council is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the Village Green, including grass cutting, tree maintenance, maintenance of the community defibrillator (in the phone box) and upkeep of the war memorial.  The Green is Common Land and as such vehicles are not permitted to drive onto the green.

East Rudham Cemetery

The Cemetery is situated off the Fakenham Road (A148) almost opposite the Vets. We are responsible for the maintenance of this area.

A summary of fees charged by the Parish Council for burials and memorials can be found in the cemetery page or a hard copy from the Clerk.

SAM2 Speed Sign

The flashing SAM2 speed machine is the responsibility of the Parish Council.  The machine flashes to warn speeding vehicles and captures the data.  The data is extracted and recorded and then forwarded to the local police for further action.

War Memorial

The war memorial is located on the A148 on the boundary of East and West Rudham.

Every year on Remembrance Day a poppy wreath is laid at the cenotaph, by members of the Parish Council, following the church service.

General Maintenance

The Parish Council is responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of the village. If you would like to report any issues, please contact the Clerk.

Maintenance of the roads, for example dealing with potholes, is the responsibility of the County Council Highways Department. Please report any issues to the Clerk or report potholes directly via Norfolk County Council's online reporting.
